DSP Weekly Agendas!

Have I told you guys yet how much I love covering things with DSP??? Well, I do! Last week, I had an idea for a great way to show off our wonderful DSP - Weekly Agendas!

I created the pages in InDesign and then made covers out of DSP covered Cardstock. They even have holidays, birthdays, anniversarys, and can have any important date easily added. I did three different variations. An 8.5" by 5,5" agenda stapled together, a 4.25" by 5.5" stapled together, and a 4.25" by 5.5" bound with the Bind-it-all.
I plan on selling these Oct-Dec for Christmas. If anybody is interested now, please let me know and we can discuss! You can choose any designer paper you like as well as choose the ribbon and print colour!

Daisy Crazy!

I am not sure if you can tell, but I am totally in love with the Flower, Daisy #2 die for the Big Shot! I have been making daisies every night when I get home from work! Yesterday, I discovered a tutorial to make Gerber Daisies! While showing some of the daisies I had made to a co-worker, I discovered that she LOVES red Gerber Daisies! So, what did I do? I went home and made her a bouquet of red Gerber Daisies!
I found the tutorial here! It was so easy to do and the resulting flower is so pretty!

Progression of an Obsession!

I first was introduced to Stampin' Up! about 2.5 years ago. A friend who was getting married had been to one of the Bridal Shows here in Ottawa and she signed up for a class to learn how to make your own invitations. Knowing that I liked doing things like that and I would be "helping" her make them, she brought me with her. All I knew was that we were going to learn about making invitations. I didn't know that it was a Stampin' Up! thing. To be honest, I really knew nothing much about SU back then anyways. When we got to the Demonstrators house, she led us down to her Studio. WOW! A whole basement that was wall to wall her stamping/scrapbooking area. I was overwhelmed with everything on display! Cards cards everywhere! I knew this was something that I would love!

After that class, I was very excited to order everything for my friends invitations. I kept rushing her to pick out of the catalogue! This was the end of November. Enter December and I am getting the itch to make Christmas cards. I wanted to stamp NOW! I had ordered Christmas stamps in November, but not paper or ink. I didn't want to wait to order. I was desperate. Someone I know told me about a friend of hers might have some paper and ink to sell me. Her friend, and now my upline and good friend, sold me what I needed to make the cards! She also sat me down and had me stamp something while I was there! She's like that! I was more hooked than ever!

I now have TONS of stuff! So much that I need to get more storage! IKEA is my friend! I just need money now! :)

I will post more on my Renovation plans soon!

Take care!

Feeling Creative Today!

I made this coaster album for a friend at work. I took the pictures of her son. The faces are blurred out of respect for my friend as she doesn't like photos of her son online.
I absolutely love covering coasters with DSP! There is something so satisfying about it! If you would like to make one of these beautiful coaster albums, I will be having a class sometime in June or July! Please contact me for more information!

DSP: Manchester
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White (Craft)
Embellishments: 5/8 Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, 5/8 Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Desktop Stationary Box with scalloped envelopes

I created this cute little box for a co-worker. I used 4 scalloped envelopes from the Big Shot die and then covered a coaster with matching DSP. The envelopes where glued together by the edges of the envelope. Then I glued down the flap to show it on the outside. For the base, I glued a 4x4 square of DSP to a coaster and then sanded down the edges and corners. Once the box was complete, I glued it on to the coaster.

For the squares, I designed them in Illustrator and printed them out 6 to a sheet. Then I cut them down to 3 1/8. I think I printed 30 copies. It took about 20 minutes to cut them all down to size.

Ok, so I have been slacking!

But I have a good reason - I think! You see, I went back to work after Mat Leave last October.

Now that I have adjusted to life back at work, I figure I should really take this blogging thing seriously! :)

Watch for pics for my stamping area reno! Very exciting!
